Gaylord Palms,
which opened in February 2002, is a 1,406-room, 65-acre
resort located five minutes from Walt Disney World Resort in
Kissimmee-St. Cloud, FL. The resort is located at the
intersection of Osceola Parkway and International Boulevard
South and is 17 miles from Orlando International Airport. It
is also centrally located, offering easy access to all of
Orlando's attractions such as SeaWorld Adventure Park and
Universal Studios Escape.
Gaylord Palms is
set in the style of a turn-of-the-century Florida mansion,
complete with a 4.5-acre atrium filled with indoor gardens
and water attractions. Each section of the resort is themed
to reflect different Florida locales, including the history
and old-world charm of St. Augustine, the colorful island
spirit of Key West, the bogs and cypresses of the
Everglades, and the exquisite setting of the Emerald Tower.
The hotel features 400,000 square feet of flexible meeting
space, including a 48,000-square-foot ballroom, several
entertainment venues, 61 breakout rooms, and approximately
200,000-square-feet of exhibition space. Gaylord Palms has
the highest meeting-space-per-room ratio in the United
States with 285 square feet per room. Additional amenities
