Grand Ole Opry to Kick Off its CMA Music Festival Week of Shows with All-Star Tuesday Night Opry, Special Tuesday Plaza Party

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 14, 2008) – The Grand Ole Opry® presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store® is kicking off its CMA Music Festival week of shows with a host of activities Tuesday, June 3, including a star-packed Tuesday Night Opry show as well an Opry Plaza Party presented by Humana® featuring fan activities and a free performance by ACM nominee Luke Bryan.
Carrie Underwood, Montgomery Gentry, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Bryan are among those scheduled to appear on the Tuesday Night Opry beginning at 7 p.m. Central. A portion of the show will air as part of a special live Tuesday edition of Opry Live on GAC.
Adding to the kick-off fun, Capitol Records recording artist Luke Bryan will welcome fans to town with a free performance on the Opry Plaza Party stage outside the Opry House beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Plaza area will be chock-full of music, food, and other fan activities kicking off the Opry’s exciting CMA Week, the full details of which are available at http://www.opry.com.
