Designed to introduce basic kitchen techniques and provide a hands-on opportunity to prepare popular and simple recipes, young aspiring culinary students will learn the secrets of the profession from Gaylord Texan’s Executive Chefs and Culinary teams. During class, each Junior Chef will rotate throughout interactive kitchen stations learning techniques on table setting, serving styles and hands-on cooking specifics. At the program’s conclusion, parents will be invited back to dine in the resort’s Ama Lur restaurant for a three-course luncheon, hosted and served by their very own “Junior Chef.”

The cost for Junior Chefs Camp is $90 per child, per class and includes lunch, a seated lunch for the parents, an apron, a hat, and a class photo. Additional children in the same family are $45 per child, per class. Junior Chefs who take all four classes will also receive a personalized photo album that captures their experience. The class is offered to children ages 8 – 16 years old.
