Chef Mastermind Returns to Gaylord Opryland Resort
Be a part of the action with Food Network's Alton Brown August 16

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 5, 2008) – Add a pinch of wit with a dash of science, blend with history and pop culture, and the result is the unconventional and entertaining Alton Brown, scheduled to appear as a part of the Celebrity Chef Series at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center this summer.

Brown, a popular television host on the Food Network and best-selling cookbook author, will delve into culinary customs and origins and showcase the latest in food and equipment trends Saturday, August 16, 2008. Brown will demonstrate his lively cooking skills, plus his favorite recipes, during a 90-minute seminar. One of the most popular special events held at the resort last year, Brown’s live show drew hundreds of fans from across the nation.

A famous chef on the popular broadcast Iron Chef America, Brown is best known for his humorous television show Good Eats, a smart and entertaining program that uncovers traditional cooking techniques and showcases the latest in food and equipment trends. Brown not only writes and produces the shows but also stars in each offbeat episode. He is a regular contributor to Bon Appetit and Men’s Journal magazines.

“The success of Alton Brown’s event here every year demonstrates our guests’ enthusiasm for everything he has to offer,” said Arthur Keith, senior vice president and general manager of Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. “We are excited to offer our guests this great event that can be coupled with the great food here at the resort, resulting in a complete food lover’s weekend.”
