Encouraging employee volunteer efforts is another important aspect of how Gaylord Entertainment gives back to our communities. Our employee volunteer program matches the services of individuals with the needs of organizations we support monetarily, such as local level adopt-a-school programs. In addition, we actively seek employee input on those organizations they most want to volunteer for, often those close to where they live. Employees that participate in this program are given time off each year to perform community service. They are also recognized for their program participation and dedication to community involvement. Hundreds of other Gaylord employees volunteer their time on a more informal basis to dozens of organizations with the full support of their managers. This group also includes our senior management team, who are all actively involved in local not-for-profit organizations.
